Job summary

ZF LIFETEC in Mexico's Chihuahua region seeks a material planning specialist to ensure timely availability of components and raw materials for production, while supporting cost efficiency and optimal inventory levels. You will work with MRP, SAP/ERP, and cross-functional teams to align production planning, optimize lead times and safety stock, and maintain accurate planning data for reliable manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in material planning, supply chain, or production support roles.
• Familiar with material requirements planning (MRP) and inventory control processes.
• Familiar with ERP / SAP system.
• Understanding of lead times, safety stock, and order scheduling.
• Experience with cross-functional cooperation with production and customer service teams.
• Ability to support data analysis and reporting for planning accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP) of Components and Raw Materials.
• Follow up on material availability for production.
• Optimize inventory and freight control and costs.
• Integrate forecasts into production schedules.
• Align production planning with operations.
• Collaborate with suppliers, including crisis management and cost recovery.
• Work cross-functionally with other teams.
• Adhere to regulations, labor contracts, and health and safety instructions.
• Maintain 5S at the workplace.
• Perform related tasks within the field of activity as trained.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding all information about employer/employees/collaborators.

• Material Requirements Planning (MRP) of Components and Raw Materials
• Material follow-up and availablity of parts for producton
• Inventoryand Freight Optimization & Control
• Forecast Integration
• Production Planning Alignment
• Supplier Collaboration ( incl. managing crisis situations and cost recovery, escalation )
• Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Comply with internaland external regulations, collective labor contract, and health and safety instructions
• Maintain cleanliness and order at the workplace according to 5S principles
• Perform any other tasks may occur but only related to the field of activity and in accordance with professional training
• Maintain confidentiality regarding all information about the employer/employees/collaborators.

Your Profile
