Responsibilities

  • Develop, validate, and optimize manufacturing and injection molding processes.
  • Monitor process performance to improve quality, scrap, cycle time, and productivity.
  • Lead NPIs, manufacturing transfers, and process validations.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing & Process Development Engineer focus in moldingto lead the development, validation, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing and plastic injection molding processes. This role serves as the technical expert for molding and manufacturing operations, driving process excellence, new product introductions, manufacturing transfers, advanced problem-solving, and technology implementation.

The successful candidate will ensure robust, capable, safe, and efficient manufacturing processes that meet quality, productivity, delivery, and cost objectives while supporting business growth and operational competitiveness

What your background should look like
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial, Electromechanical, Plastics Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • Advanced training or certifications in Injection Molding, Scientific Molding, Advanced Manufacturing, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Project Management are highly preferred.
  • Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency.
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering and/or Plastic Injection Molding processes.
  • Strong background in manufacturing process development, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on experience with plastic injection molding operations.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing transfers, and process validations.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working with multi-cavity molds.
  • Experience with automation, capital equipment implementation, and new mold launches is preferred.

Technical Expertise

  • Injection molding processes and manufacturing operations.
  • Scientific Molding methodologies and material behavior.
  • DOE (Design of Experiments) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Process capability analysis (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk).
  • PFMEA and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Process validation methodologies (IQ, OQ, PQ).
  • Lean Manufacturing and SMED/Quick Changeover techniques.
  • GD&T interpretation and engineering drawings.
  • Minitab and Microsoft Office
Responsibilities
Process Development & Optimization
  • Develop, implement, validate, and optimize manufacturing and injection molding processes.
  • Monitor process performance and identify opportunities to improve quality, scrap reduction, cycle time, productivity, and process stability.
  • Analyze critical process parameters and implement corrective actions to ensure robust and repeatable operations.
  • Define process windows and optimal operating conditions for new and existing products.
Technical Leadership & Problem Solving
  • Provide advanced technical support for complex issues involving processes, products, molds, equipment, and materials.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to engineers, technicians, and production personnel.
  • Drive best practices in manufacturing and injection molding technologies.
New Product Introduction & Validation
  • Lead technical activities related to New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing transfers, and engineering changes.
  • Plan and execute equipment, mold, and process validations, including IQ, OQ, PQ, and capability studies.
  • Lead mold trials for new, modified, or transferred tooling.
  • Ensure successful production launches through structured validation and process readiness activities.
Continuous Improvement & Productivity
  • Analyze manufacturing KPIs including Scrap, OEE, FPY, Cycle Time, Downtime, and Process Capability.
  • Support the implementation of lean manufacturing principles and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Maintain and improve technical documentation, work instructions, process parameters, PFMEAs, and engineering standards.
Equipment & Technology Implementation
  • Participate in the selection, acquisition, and implementation of new equipment, tooling, automation systems, and manufacturing technologies.
