Vertiv Co is seeking an experienced manufacturing/process engineer in Mexicali, Mexico to drive process definition, equipment selection, and Lean initiatives across the metal mechanics operations. The role emphasizes delivering layouts, line balance, and FPY improvements while leading safety and training efforts.

Qualifications include a degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace or Automotive Engineering and 5+ years in metal working processes, with MRP/ERP experience and Lean/Sigma

Formación

• Degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace or Automotive Engineering.
• 5+ years experience in metal mechanic processes such as punching, bending, forming, welding, brazing, painting, fastening, assembly, electronics or harnesses.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems.
• Lean Manufacturing or Lean Practitioner experience.
• Six Sigma – Green Belt or higher desired.
• Knowledge of Core Tools.

Responsabilidades

• Process definition and manufacturing readiness deliverables: layout, line balance, cell/line design, material presentation, tooling and fixturing, process documentation, training and FPY.
• Equipment/technology selection and capital justification/approval.
• Track unit KPIs: scrap, operation supplies, change over, standard hours.
• Lead cost reduction projects.
• Implement Lean/Operational System elements within the BU: standard work, SMED, poke-yoke.
• Root cause analysis and preventive/corrective actions implementation.
• Lead safety/equipment with JSA to identify and mitigate risks.
• Training & development: operations training on critical operations, routing structure.
• Drive continuous improvement with at least 1 improvement idea monthly impacting cost, quality or safety.
• Define and control layout distribution within the business unit.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Ergonomics: Responsible to lead (in conjunction with functional team) Job Safety Analysis evaluation to detect, correct or mitigate safety risks and exposures
• Training & Development: Operations Training on critical operations, process definition, routing structure
• Continuous Improvement: Implement at least 1 improvement idea on a monthly basis – that impacts Cost, Quality or Safety
• Layout – Responsible to define and control the layout and distribution of his business unit

Qualifications

• Industrial, Mechanical, Aerospace or Automotive Engineering degree
• +5 years of experience on Metal Mechanic Processes such as Punch Press, Bending, Forming, Welding, Brazing, Paint, Fastening, Assembly, Electronic or Harnesses processes.
