Flex is seeking a Sr Industrial Engineer for the Juarez Sur site. You will support process planning, time estimation for quotes, and drive improvements in labor utilization and throughput.

The role requires advanced English, a bachelor’s degree, and experience with LEAN, Automation, and 6Sigma initiatives to help reduce costs and improve product quality.

Responsabilidades

• Provides process time estimation to the quote team.
• Simulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow; inputs to process engineers using REFA, MOST, WITNESS.
• Coordinates process planning and setup during NPI with respect to takt, cycle time and direct labor.
• Reviews prototyping results and provides feedback to NPI and sales.
• Develops labor utilization standards via work measurement programs.
• Analyzes workforce utilization, facility layout and production data to improve efficiency.
• Recommends methods to reduce waste and improve throughput; may restructure duties.
• Knowledge of personnel administration and warehouse/materials processes.
• Knowledge of square footage management and billing.
• Knowledge of DL calculations, machine capacities, and OEE.
• Electronic Industry experience desirable.

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sr Industrial Engineer located in Juarez Sur.

Industrial Engineer’s role involves:

• Provides process time estimation to the quote team.
• Simulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow and gives input to process engineers by using REFA, MOST, WITNESS and adequate tools.
• During NPI coordinates process planning and set up with respect to takt, cycle time and direct labor requirement.
• Reviews result during prototyping and trial runs and gives feedback to NPI and sales team.
• Work measurement programs and analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
• Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
• Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocation workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
• Knowledge of personnel administration.
• Knowledge of warehouse and materials processes.
• Knowledge of square footage management and billing.
• Technical skills: knowledge of DL calculations, machine capacities, and OEE.
• Experience in Electronic Industry (desirable).

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

• Advanced English
• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree
• Conference with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.

• May develop management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.
• Develop management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost analysis, and design production planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product quality.
• Design or improve systems for the physical distribution of goods and services, as well as determining the most efficient plant locations.
• Desired management skills for engineers and technicians.
• Leads and supports initiatives to increase throughput, reduce costs and improve performance in constrained areas like LEAN, Automation and/or 6Sigma projects.
