Flex is seeking a Sr Industrial Engineer to join our Production Engineering team in Juarez Sur. The role focuses on process time estimation, line balancing, and work measurement to improve throughput and reduce costs.

You will coordinate NPI process planning, analyze labor and equipment utilization, and contribute to LEAN, automation and Six Sigma initiatives. Advanced English is required; a bachelor's degree is expected. Flex offers strong benefits and a collaborative environment.

• Advanced English is required or strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Industrial Engineering).
• Experience in the electronics industry is desirable.
• Knowledge of warehouse and materials processes.
• Knowledge of square footage management and billing.
• Experience leading LEAN, Automation and/or Six Sigma projects.

Responsabilidades

• Provides process time estimation for the quote team.
• Simulates process and workflow; advises process engineers using REFA, MOST, WITNESS.
• Coordinates process planning and setup during NPI with respect to takt, cycle time, and direct labor.
• Reviews prototyping results and provides feedback to NPI and sales teams.
• Implements work measurement programs and develops standards for labor utilization.
• Analyzes workforce utilization, facility layout, and production data to optimize resource use.
• Recommends methods to improve efficiency and reduce material/utility waste.
• Knowledge of personnel administration and warehouse/materials processes.

Job Summary: To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sr Industrial Engineer located in Juarez Sur. Report to the Industrial Engineer the Industrial Engineer’s role involves:

What a typical day looks like:

• Provides process time estimation to the quote team.
• Simulates process, materials and manufacturing workflow and gives input to process engineers by using REFA, MOST, WITNESS and adequate tools.
• During NPI coordinates process planning and set up with respect to takt, cycle time and direct labor requirement.
• Reviews result during prototyping and trial runs and gives feedback to NPI and sales team.
• Work measurement programs and analyze work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.
• Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.
• Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing workflow, relocation workstations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.
• Knowledge of personnel administration.
• Knowledge of warehouse and materials processes.
• Knowledge of square footage management and billing.
• Technical skills: knowledge of DL calculations, machine capacities, and OEE.
• Experience in Electronic Industry (desirable).

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

Advanced English. Typically requires a bachelor’s degree. Conference with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations. May develop management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation. Develop management control systems to aid in financial planning and cost analysis, and design production planning and control systems to coordinate activities and ensure product quality. Design or improve systems for the physical distribution of goods and services, as well as determining the most efficient plant locations. Desired management skills for engineers and technicians. Leads and supports initiatives to increase throughput, reduce costs and improve performance in constrained areas like LEAN, Automation and/or 6Sigma projects.
