About the Role:
Amazon is looking for a Senior Human Resources Assistant to provide HR support to the Delivery Station in the AMZL Ops North Region. This role involves both strategic and hands-on HR responsibilities, aimed at executing people initiatives, delivering excellent internal customer service, and driving process improvements in HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- HRIS (Peoplesoft) Management: Ensure data integrity in HRIS systems, including entering new employee information, benefits enrollments, timecards, and updates to employee details.
- Payroll: Collaborate with station and shift managers to ensure employees are on the correct schedule patterns. Assist with payroll-related inquiries and generate necessary reports.
- Attendance Tracking: Work with managers to ensure correct employee attendance records, manage shift schedules, and crew sheets.
- Employee Support: Assist internal customers with benefits, orientation, and general HR inquiries. Handle employment and payroll verifications.
- New-Hire Administration: Coordinate new-hire orientations and assist with the onboarding process.
- HR Metrics: Track and report HR metrics, such as attendance, attrition, overtime, and engagement. Calculate turnover metrics for salaried and hourly employees.
- Employee Files: Manage employee files and ensure all documents are properly scanned and updated in Mydocs.
- Badging Process: Liaise with department managers and security to administer the badging process for employees.
- Collaboration: Assist with recruiting and safety department tasks, such as coordinating interviews and safety talks.
Basic Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience in human resources functions.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or High School diploma.
- Skills: Knowledge of HRIS or Applicant Tracking Systems is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or a related field.
