Klar is seeking a skilled automation and finance analyst to join our Mexico City office in a hybrid role. You will design and implement automation solutions for the monthly close, partnering with Accounting and Finance to translate requirements into automated workflows.

You will build dashboards, establish controls, monitor data quality, and document processes. Collaboration with FinOps, Data, Product and Engineering is essential to identify new automation opportunities and drive efficiency.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or analytical field.
• 3+ years in business analysis, finance automation, data analytics, process improvement, or a related role.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP; knowledge a plus.
• Previous experience in financial institutions, banking, lending, or fintech is advantageous.
• Experience with APIs to connect to data sources and data warehouses.
• Advanced Excel skills including formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
• Advanced SQL.
• Intermediate Python for data processing, automation, and validation.
• Elementary English.

• Build tools and dashboards to monitor close processes, reconciliations, exceptions, and data quality.
• Document controls that ensure quality and traceability of automated processes.
• Collaborate with FinOps, Data, Product, and Engineering to identify and prioritize new automation opportunities.

The position and your daily adventures

This is a full-time position based in our Mexico City office with a hybrid model, therefore we are looking forward to seeing you in our office 2-3 times per week.

What you can expect:

• Implement automation solutions for the monthly accounting close, with a focus on main banking products and other high-volume accounting processes.
• Work with Accounting and Finance teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and automated workflows.
• Develop and maintain controls, monitoring, and exception-handling processes to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and traceability of automated accounting processes.
• Build tools and dashboards to monitor accounting close, reconciliations, exceptions, and data quality.
• Document controls that ensure the quality and traceability of automated processes.
• Collaborate with FinOps, Data, Product, and Engineering teams to identify and prioritize new automation opportunities.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or analytical field (e.g., Computational, Mechatronics, Mathematics, Physics, etc.)
• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, finance automation, data analytics, process improvement, or a related role.
• Accounting knowledge is a plus, especially when combined with experience in process automation and ERP systems such as SAP.
• Previous experience in a financial institution, banking, lending, or fintech environment is a plus.
• Experience working with APIs, including connecting to and consuming data from systems such as a data warehouse.
• Advanced Excel. Knowledgeable in formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
• Advanced SQL.
• Intermediate Python, particularly for data processing, automation, and validation.
• Elementary English.
