Skyworks en Mexicali busca Ingeniero/a Industrial o Químico/a para desarrollar, implementar y vigilar programas de seguridad ambiental y salud ocupacional. Trabajarás para asegurar el cumplimiento de regulaciones federales, estatales y locales, gestionar inventarios de equipo de seguridad y coordinar inspecciones y formación en respuesta a emergencias.

La posición colabora con múltiples departamentos y podrá involucrar manejo de residuos peligrosos, seguridad de instalaciones y ergonomía.

Formación

• Bachelor degree in Industrial or Chemical Engineering with strong understanding of environmental health and safety practices.
• Nivel de inglés cercano al 70% para interactuar con regulaciones y equipos.

Responsabilidades

• Develops, implements, and monitors environmental safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local EH&S regulations.
• Maintains safety equipment inventory, conducts periodic inspections, and coordinates hazardous waste handling.
• Trains staff on emergency response and hazardous material handling; liaises with regulatory agencies.
• Supports workplace ergonomic and life safety compliance and may assist in workers' compensation administration.

Descripción

Develops, implements, and monitors company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations. Maintains safety equipment inventory, performs periodic safety inspections, monitors hazardous waste removal vendors, and may assist in consolidating hazardous wastes (chemical, radioactive, and/or medical). Interacting with a variety of departments, conducts training in emergency response and hazardous material handling. Monitors environmental compliance and maintains liaison with appropriate regulatory agencies. Recommends corrective action where environmental health and safety hazards exist. The work of the EH&S Engineer who is an Industrial Hygienist involves industrial hygiene, life safety, and ergonomic compliance-related activities. Interacts with others in the administration of the worker’s compensation program and the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions. Monitors industrial health compliance. In some organizations, facility security is also a part of this employee’s responsibility. If safety is the primary responsibility, match to Safety Engineer.
