Collins Aerospace in Mexicali seeks an Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement professional to drive Lean Sigma initiatives, mentor teams, and lead cross‑functional improvement projects from planning through execution.

You will coordinate training, policy deployment exercises, and engagement activities with HR, EHS & Quality, advancing a culture of continuous improvement and measurable business results across Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools on shop floor and functional environments.
  • Experience with project management and data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, Minitab) to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsabilidades

  • Foster project management discipline across intake, initiation, planning, execution, transition and closure of projects.
  • Mentor and SME on Lean Sigma and CI methodologies in the department.
  • Collaborate with local and Corporate CI organizations.
  • Coordinate training and engagement activities with HR, EHS & Quality for CI mindset.
  • Lead Lean bootcamps and policy deployment exercises.
  • Support policy deployment tools such as x-matrix, risk register, macro plan.
  • Streamline processes to enable growth.
  • Lead project progress meetings and communications for CI projects.
  • Conduct 30-60-90 day reviews after event closures.
  • Maintain advanced proficiency in English (spoken and written).

What You Will Do
  • Foster project management discipline, providing expertise and support in the intake, initiation, planning, execution, transition and closure of projects, providing support to the Management of Change.
  • Fosters a sustainable continuous improvement culture (Lean Sigma) to deliver business results by acting as Mentor and Subject Matter Expert on continuous improvement methodologies for the department
  • Collaborates with local and Corporate's Continuous Improvement organization
  • Develops, promotes and coordinates cultural activities with HR, EHS & Quality department for engagement and awareness on Integrated Systems CI mindset.
  • Coordinates Leadership Week, Lean bootcamp training, monthly trainings, etc.
  • Participate and supports policy deployment exercises such as x-matrix, risk register, macro plan, among others.
  • Streamlines processes and operations to allow for growth
  • Leads project progress meetings and communications for projects owned by this position.
  • Completes 30-60-90 day reviews after event closures to ensure successful delivery has been achieved.
  • Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

  • Advanced Lean & Continuous Improvement Methodologies: Expand your knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Lean Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, policy deployment, and other Operational Excellence tools to solve complex business challenges.
  • Project & Change Management: Gain hands-on experience managing cross-functional improvement projects from planning through execution, while strengthening your project management and organizational change leadership skills.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience as a Continuous Improvement /OPEX professional.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools in both shop floor and functional environments (such as: Value Stream Mapping, Process Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, etc).
  • Experience with advanced project management practices and data analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Minitab, or similar) to support continuous improvement initiatives.
