Ensambles Hyson seeks a Sr. Planner/Buyer for El Lago Molding to develop, implement, and oversee the injection molding production plan. You will align demand, inventory, and material flow while coordinating with engineering, quality, and sales.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in engineering or business, 5+ years in materials management or planning, strong leadership, bilingual English/Spanish, and proven ERP/PC skills to drive a smooth, cost-efficient supply chain.

Overview

The Sr. Planner/Buyer for El Lago Molding is a crucial role responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the injection molding production plan. This involves managing customer demand, optimizing inventory levels, ensuring material flow, and coordinating with various teams to maintain a smooth and efficient production process.

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining detailed production schedules, considering capacity, material availability, and lead times.
• Aligning production plans with customer demand, forecasts, and inventory levels
• Monitoring and managing inventory levels to minimize excess or shortages, ensuring timely availability of materials for production.
• Working closely with other departments such as engineering, quality control, and sales to ensure seamless execution of the production plan
• Identifying potential disruptions to the supply chain and developing contingency plans to mitigate risks.
• Ability to lead and mentor junior planners, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment. This includes motivating the team and providing guidance.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business-related field.
• At least 5+ years of experience in materials management, planning and/or operations.
• Demonstrated leadership, and negotiation skills,
• Successful track record of Achievements,
• Ability to learn quickly and willingness to take on new challenges,
• Skilled in PC applications and ERP systems experience,
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills,
• Fully bilingual in English and Spanish,
• Skillful managing sense of urgency
• Team oriented individual.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• MBA or other advanced degree
• ERP Oracle, PeopleSoft Manufacturing experience
• Ability to manage high exposure projects.
• Lean manufacturing or Lean six sigma experience.
• APICS CPIM certification.
