Carrier in Santa Catarina, Mexico is seeking a Sr. Buyer to ensure timely direct material availability for manufacturing operations.

You will manage supplier relationships, monitor purchase orders and delivery commitments, and proactively address potential shortages to sustain production. Responsibilities include using SAP and MRPs to optimize inventory, tracking KPIs (OTD, DOS, CTB), and coordinating corrective actions with suppliers and cross-functional teams to minimize production

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of direct material procurement, material planning, or supply chain operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills and knowledge of MRP, JIT, Kanban, and inventory management.
• Intermediate-to-advanced English proficiency.

• Maintain optimal inventory levels by monitoring material coverage, demand fluctuations, and inventory parameters to prevent shortages, excess inventory, and obsolescence.
• Identify potential supply chain disruptions and coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and cross-functional teams to minimize production impacts.
• Track and monitor KPIs (OTD, Past Due, DOS, CTB) to support supplier performance and production continuity.
