You will work with SAP, BRP900, PowerBI and AI tools to optimize procurement strategies, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while delivering value across the supply chain.

As a Senior Procurement Buyer here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for managing and executing the organization's procurement and purchasing activities at a strategic level. This position plays a pivotal part in ensuring efficient procurement processes, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment within the procurement function.

You will report directly to our title and you'll work out of our Monterrey, Mexico location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role you are essential in optimizing procurement practices, enhancing profitability, and securing a reliable and agile supply chain, making your expertise an indispensable asset to our organization's success.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy that aligns with the organization's goals, ensuring cost-effectiveness, quality, and supplier diversity.
• Oversee and manage complex procurement projects from initiation to completion, including supplier selection, negotiations, contract management, and delivery, ensuring project goals are met within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Provide guidance to a team of procurement professionals, including buyers, purchasing agents, and coordinators, ensuring the successful execution of procurement projects.
• Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, conduct due diligence, and negotiate terms to secure cost-effective and high-quality purchases.
• Monitor and control procurement costs, seek cost-saving opportunities, negotiate favorable terms, and optimize resource allocation.
• Foster and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure a reliable and responsive supply chain, addressing concerns and resolving issues.
• Ensure that all procurement activities adhere to relevant regulations, compliance standards, and internal policies, maintaining accurate and organized records.
• Establish and enforce quality control standards in procurement processes, conducting regular inspections and performance assessments.
• Manage the procurement budget, allocate resources efficiently, and seek cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality standards.
• Leverage technology solutions, such as procurement software and analytics, to enhance procurement processes, monitoring, and reporting.

You Must Have

• 5+ years of experience in procurement and project management.
• SAP Order Management Module, BRP900, PowerBI, AI Applications
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex procurement projects.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Proficiency in budget management and financial acumen.
• In‑depth knowledge of procurement strategies, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management.

**Summary**
This role supports critical customers at various sites in the CCS segment of our business. It oversees the overall supply chain ramp/execution to ensure the customers' requirements are met. Planning, demand management alignment, proactive solutions and direct collaboration with the customers and supporting functions, and developing strategies and execution plans to optimize the supply chain are crucial aspects of this role.

Detailed Description

• Maintains positive relationships with key customers, suppliers, etc., who have a significant impact on the success of the organization.
• Maintains responsibility for management of materials availability to support build plans throughout the product life cycle for a specific business unit or customer set.
• Provides leadership in designing the supplier portion of the materials supply chain to provide optimum flexibility with minimum investment.
• Manages the effort to identify and develop suppliers to meet current and future business needs.
• Leads efforts to reduce material cost and assess/respond to supply risks.
• Manages the administration of all site purchasing contracts and agreements.
• Manages the development of delivery requirements, material plans and short‑range capacity plans to meet production schedules and inventory objectives.
• Responsible for customer interface from SCM including relationship management and as the focal point for all SCM‑related issues and for tracking and driving inventory results for North America working with site GM's, SCM managers and customer VP/GMs.
• Participates in business process improvements to help achieve inventory targets and maximize return on investment.
• Works to ensure Celestica is compliant with customs and regulatory laws. Negotiates with carriers to support domestic and international air, rail and ocean transport ensuring favorable rates and cycle times for Celestica.
• Establishes department goals/ measurements and manages resources to achieve these goals.

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

• In-depth knowledge and understanding of global supply chain management, distribution methods, and global transportation services and inventory management
• Broad knowledge of an electronic manufacturing environment, materials and processes
• Strong knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities in industry pricing, technology, supply/demand and emerging trends and in all areas of import/export, regulatory and logistics management
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem resolution skills
• Good understanding of IT concepts and integrated business applications
