Job description

DoorDash’s Retention Marketing team creates lifecycle communications that help Dashers and merchants stay informed, engaged, and successful on our platform. We combine hands‑on customer relationship management (CRM) execution with audience insights to deliver relevant email, push, SMS, and in‑app campaigns. Our focus is reliable campaign delivery, operational efficiency, and measurable retention impact.

About the Role

As a Senior Associate, Retention Marketing, you will be an individual contributor spending approximately 70–80% of your time building, testing, and launching lifecycle campaigns and 20–30% on strategy and stakeholder collaboration, with success measured by campaign quality, on‑time delivery, production efficiency, and lifecycle effectiveness. You will execute campaigns in Beacon, our current platform, applying experience from comparable CRM tools to support Dasher or merchant lifecycle programs. This role is based in Mexico City with one office day per week, typically Thursday, and flexibility to collaborate across US time zones. You will report into a Retention Marketing Manager on our Retention Marketing team in our Growth Marketing organization.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
  • Build, test, and launch campaigns across email, push, SMS, and in‑app messaging, owning audience setup, personalization, scheduling, and deployment.
  • Configure automated journeys, including triggers, decision splits, entry and exit criteria, and exclusion rules that ensure messages reach eligible audiences.
  • Validate campaign content, audience eligibility, personalization, links, timing, and automation logic, resolving execution issues before and after launch.
  • Partner with US-based marketing, data, product, engineering, and design teams to clarify requirements, manage dependencies, and communicate campaign progress and risks.
  • Use delivery, engagement, and quality metrics to recommend lifecycle improvements and strengthen testing, documentation, and production workflows.
We’re excited about you because…
  • You have 3+ years of experience in CRM operations, lifecycle marketing, retention marketing, email marketing, or marketing automation, including at least two recent years of substantial hands‑on campaign execution.
  • You have personally built, tested, and launched campaigns in a scaled CRM or marketing automation platform, such as Iterable, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, or a comparable tool.
  • You can configure audience segments, automated journeys, and personalization for campaigns reaching 100,000+ users or for business audiences with complex lifecycle requirements.
  • You can validate campaign setup, troubleshoot execution issues, and interpret campaign data to improve quality and effectiveness.
  • You can independently manage multiple campaign deadlines and dependencies while communicating clearly in written and spoken English with US-based partners.
