Job summary

Infosys Mexico is seeking a hands-on SQL Server Database Administrator to join Delivery. You will manage SQL Server 2019+ instances, ensure high availability with Always On, perform performance tuning, and support both Azure PaaS/IaaS and on-premises SQL Server environments.

You will lead migrations from on-premises to Azure and collaborate with stakeholders across the delivery lifecycle. Strong ownership and end-to-end project engagement are essential, with experience in MongoDB or Confluent

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on SQL Server database administration, focusing on SQL Server 2019+.
• 3–5 years of experience supporting SQL Server Always On availability groups and clustering.
• Proven expertise in SQL Server performance tuning (platform and T‑SQL).
• Extensive experience with Azure PaaS/IaaS and on-premises SQL Server environments.
• Experience migrating SQL Server databases from on-premises to Azure (rehost/refactor/rewire).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end SQL Server operations and performance tuning across Azure and on‑prem environments.
• Lead migration projects from on‑premises to Azure and engage stakeholders throughout.
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery using Always On and related technologies.
• Collaborate with data teams and DevOps to optimize database solutions.
• Hands-on work with MongoDB and Confluent Kafka is a plus.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server database administration, with a strong focus on SQL Server 2019 and later versions .
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience supporting and managing SQL Server Always On availability groups and clustering .
• Proven expertise in SQL Server performance tuning , including both platform-level optimization and T-SQL query/code tuning .
• Extensive operational support experience across Azure PaaS and IaaS environments , as well as on-premises SQL Server platforms.
• Demonstrated, hands-on experience migrating SQL Server databases from on-premises to Azure (rehost, refactor, or re-architect approaches).
• Strong sense of ownership , with the ability to proactively manage projects end-to-end and effectively engage with stakeholders.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB and/or Confluent Kafka platforms is a strong plus.
