Textron en Puebla, México, busca un Ingeniero CFD especializado para liderar simulaciones de sistemas de combustible y baterías. Se requiere licenciatura en ingeniería y 2–4 años en CFD/CAE, con ANSYS Fluent y inglés fluido.

Se valora maestría y experiencia en automotriz, con disponibilidad para viajar. Se trabajará con ANSYS Workbench, Altair SimLab y Moldflow, con enfoque en metodologías CFD, verificación y correlación con pruebas.

Formación

  • Se solicita licenciatura en Mecánica, Automotriz, Aeroespacial o similar.
  • 2–4 años de experiencia en CFD o CAE.
  • Experiencia obligatoria con ANSYS Fluent.
  • Inglés fluido.
  • Se valora experiencia en la industria automotriz.
  • Disposición para viajar.
  • Maestría es un plus.
  • Conocimientos de fluidos/turbulencia/transferencia de calor/multipase.
  • Conocimientos de simulaciones transientes y estacionarias.
  • Experiencia correlando simulaciones con pruebas.
  • Experiencia en CFD para aplicaciones como slosh, recarga, ventilación, gestión térmica de baterías, enfriamiento por inmersión, rociado y limpieza de cámaras

Responsabilidades

  • Realizar simulaciones CFD para sistemas de combustible, baterías y componentes relacionados.
  • Definir alcance, supuestos y condiciones de contorno de simulaciones.
  • Preparar modelos CFD, limpieza geométrica y mallado.
  • Configurar, ejecutar y monitorear análisis en ANSYS Fluent.
  • Ejecutar proyectos de CFD cumpliendo normas y mejores prácticas.
  • Post-procesar e interpretar resultados de CFD.
  • Proporcionar recomendaciones de ingeniería basadas en CFD.
  • Soportar desarrollo de sistemas de combustible/bateria mediante CFD (slosh, recarga, venting, enfriamiento, etc.).
  • Correlacionar resultados con datos de pruebas físicas.
  • Desarrollar y mejorar metodologías y flujos de CFD.
  • Seleccionar herramientas CAE adecuadas y enfoques de modelado.
  • Colaborar con colegas e ingenieros CAE junior.
  • Apoyar proyectos de clientes con experiencia en CFD.
  • Mantener documentación de simulaciones y archivos de proyectos.
  • Asegurar cumplimiento con requisitos internos y de clientes.
  • Colaborar en equipos de ingeniería global y seguir desarrollando conocimientos técnicos.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace, or related Engineering.
  • 2–4 years of experience in CFD or CAE engineering.
  • Mandatory experience with ANSYS Fluent.
  • Fluent English required
  • Experience in the automotive industry is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as required
  • Master’s degree is a plus
  • Technical knowledge of:
    • Knowledge of fluid flow, turbulence, heat transfer, and multiphase flow.
    • Understanding transient and steady-state simulations.
    • Experience correlating simulation results with physical testing.
    • Experience in CFD applications such as fuel slosh, refueling, venting, battery thermal management, thermal runaway, two-phase immersion cooling, nozzle spray, or camera cleaning simulations is highly desirable.
    • Proficient with MS Office applications.
    • Experience with ANSYS Workbench and Altair SimLab is a plus.
    • Moldflow/Moldex3D experience is a plus.
    • Basic understanding of FEA is a plus.
    • Knowledge of polymers and manufacturing processes is a plus.

What awaits you:
  • Perform CFD simulations for fuel systems, battery systems, and related components.
  • Define simulation scope, assumptions, and boundary conditions.
  • Prepare CFD models, including geometry cleanup and meshing.
  • Set up, run, and monitor CFD analyses in ANSYS Fluent.
  • Execute CFD projects according to Kautex standards and industry best practices.
  • Post-process and interpret simulation results.
  • Provide engineering recommendations based on CFD findings.
  • Support fuel and battery system development through CFD analyses including fuel slosh, refueling, venting, battery cooling, thermal runaway, two-phase immersion cooling, camera cleaning/nozzle spray, and flow distribution assessments.
  • Correlate simulation results with physical testing data.
  • Develop and improve CFD methodologies and workflows.
  • Select appropriate CAE tools and modeling approaches.
  • Collaborate with peers and junior CAE engineers.
  • Support customer projects with CFD expertise.
  • Maintain simulation documentation and project records.
  • Ensure compliance with customer and internal requirements.
  • Support collaboration within global engineering teams.
  • Continuously develop technical knowledge and skills.
