We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Spec Custodian/Process Compliance specialist to take ownership of specific manufacturing processes and ensure rigorous adherence to all relevant specifications and requirements. This role is crucial for bridging the gap between quality documentation and production floor execution, serving as the subject matter expert (SME) for assigned processes. The ideal candidate will ensure that requirements are clearly understood, correctly implemented, and consistently maintained, driving compliance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Specification Ownership and Interpretation: Serve as the primary owner for assigned process specifications. Interpret complex customer and industry requirements (e.g., BACs, BMS, internal standards) and translate them into clear, actionable internal instructions and standard work.
- Requirements Flow-down: Ensure all requirements from top-tier specifications are effectively cascaded down into relevant procedures, work instructions, forms, and production documentation.
- Training Coordination and Delivery: Collaborate with the training department to develop training materials related to owned processes. Ensure all personnel working within the assigned processes are appropriately trained, records are maintained, and training effectiveness is validated.
- Process Implementation and Validation Audits: Conduct frequent, scheduled audits and floor walks to validate the correct implementation of processes and strict adherence to work instructions and specifications on the production floor. Document findings and drive closure of minor discrepancies.
- Records Management: Verify that all required quality records, checklists, and data logs associated with owned processes are accurately created, completed, and maintained according to retention policies.
Qualifications
Education
- Education: Technical certification or Associate's degree in a related field. Industrial Chemical Engineer/Chemical Engineer preferred.
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in a quality assurance, process management, or manufacturing compliance role within a technical/manufacturing environment.
- Hands‑on experience conducting process audits or floor validations.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical specifications and implementing documentation requirements.
- Knowledge of QMS standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001, BAC’s, BMS’) is a plus.
Skills
