SGI Global LLC is seeking a fluent Spanish-speaking interpreter for INL Interpreter (Ad Hoc) in Querétaro, Mexico. This on-call position requires availability up to 8 hours daily and willingness to travel across multiple locations.

Ideal candidates hold US or Mexican citizenship, strong English and Spanish proficiency (FSI level 4), and a related degree or 5 years of experience. Prior experience with legal/technical interpretation and interpretation equipment is preferred.

Formación

• US or Mexican citizenship required.
• English FSI Level 4 and Spanish FSI Level 4 required.
• Bachelor's degree or 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in simultaneous and consecutive interpretation in legal/technical settings.
• Familiarity with interpretation equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Provide simultaneous and consecutive interpretation during training, meetings, and events.
• Support communication between U.S. and Mexican officials.
• Deliver real-time interpretation during exercises and field activities.
• Translate written materials such as presentations and reports.
• Prepare in advance by reviewing materials and coordinating with stakeholders.
• Maintain confidentiality, accuracy, and impartiality at all times.

SGI Global LLC is seeking a fluent Spanish-speaking Spanish-English Interpreter

INL Interpreter (Ad Hoc) - Querétaro / Various Locations, Mexico

• Type: Ad hoc / On-call (non-staff position)
• Schedule: Availability required for up to 8 hours per day during assignments (even if interpretation is only needed intermittently)
• Primary Location: Querétaro, with availability to travel

Qualifications

• US. citizen or Mexican citizen
• English FSI Level 4 and Spanish FSI Level 4 (required)
• Bachelor's degree in interpretation, translation, linguistics, international relations, or related field OR minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience
• Proven experience in simultaneous and consecutive interpretation, preferably in law enforcement, legal, or technical environments
• Experience translating technical documents (reports, presentations, training materials)
• Familiarity with interpretation equipment (headsets, microphones, audio consoles)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance or be vetted.

Preferred:

• Certification (ATA, NAJIT, or equivalent)
