Job summary

SGI Global LLC in Mexico City seeks a fluent Spanish-speaking Drug Demand Reduction Advisor to support the Department of State's INL program in Mexico. The role requires advising on strategic DDR approaches and coordinating multi-agency efforts.

You will design and implement DDR capacity-building projects, monitor progress, and report outcomes while engaging with US Government colleagues, international partners, and local Mexican institutions. Travel may be required to other locations.

Qualifications

• Requires Spanish language proficiency (FSI 4/4) and strong communication skills.
• Experience working with government or international development programs is preferred.
• Ability to design and report on capacity-building projects.

Responsibilities

• Advise INL on strategic approaches to drug demand reduction in Mexico.
• Assist in designing, developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting DDR capacity-building projects.
• Collaborate with US Government, international organizations, and foreign governments to coordinate DDR efforts.
• Provide guidance bridging public health, criminal justice, and prevention/treatment of substance use disorders.
• Perform other duties as required by INL.
