SAF-HOLLAND in Mexico seeks a senior leader to drive Net Material Performance, ECN, and Technical Cost Optimization for Americas, coordinating product development, testing, production, and launches.

You will lead cross-functional teams, manage VAVE initiatives, ensure on-time, cost-effective launches, and support SAP-based data analysis, with travel 15-30%.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years leading cross-functional projects in manufacturing and cost reduction.
• Knowledge of APQP, PPAP, and product launch processes.
• Experience in cost reduction, VAVE or cost optimization initiatives.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of Foundry, Forging, Heat Treat, Heavy Stampings, Fabrication, Assembly and Machining.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Availability to travel 15-30% of the time.

Responsabilidades

• Manages new product launches, component projects, technical cost optimization, cost reduction, operational improvements, and selected VAVE initiatives to achieve profitability, budget, risk, and timing objectives.
• Leads and coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring project alignment, status visibility, and on-time execution.
• Leads Technical Reviews, Pre-Award Meetings, APQP supplier activities, PPAP submissions, and safe launch plans to ensure successful and quality-compliant program launches.
• Ensures effective coordination, prioritization, and communication of project objectives.
• Reports program progress through sourcing implementation gates/phases, ensuring budget, cost optimization, cost reduction, and timing targets are achieved.
• Drives excellence through standardized project management practices and compliance with SAF-Holland processes.
• Supports daily business operations through reporting, data analysis, SAP expertise, cost optimization initiatives, selected VAVE activities, and special projects as required.

SAF-HOLLAND is a leading manufacturer of chassis-related systems and components primarily for trailers and semi-trailers, but also for trucks and buses. About position

Drives Net Material Performance, Engineering Change Management (ECN) and Technical Cost Optimization Leadership of the Original Equipment and Aftermarket - Americas businesses by either improving or launching product portfolio and cost competitiveness through a combination of sourcing, operational, product development, and Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VAVE) support programs. This role is responsible for the planning, coordinating, evaluation and execution of activities involved with the entire operation of specific products, including development, testing, product quality, production, Capex, project cost, scheduling and performance, and launch.

Specific duties:

• Manages new product launches, component projects, technical cost optimization, cost reduction, operational improvements, and selected VAVE initiatives to achieve profitability, budget, risk, and timing objectives.
• Leads and coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring project alignment, status visibility, and on-time execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
• Five-plus years of experience leading cross-functional projects in a manufacturing and cost reduction environment.
• Knowledge of supplier development, APQP, PPAP, and product launch processes.
• Experience in cost reduction, value engineering (VAVE), or cost optimization initiatives.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of process related to Foundry, Forging, Heat Treat, Heavy Stampings, Fabrication, Assembly and Machining processes.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proficiency in SAP and data analysis tools preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
• Availability to travel 15-30% of the time
