Confie is seeking a Solution Architect II to lead the design, standardization, and implementation of scalable data platforms that support business needs. You will oversee end-to-end analytics solutions, from data ingestion to visualization, and guide migrations from SQL Server to Snowflake, using WhereScape and Coalesce.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end reporting and analytics solutions from data ingestion to visualization.
• Design, implement and optimize complex ETL/ELT pipelines across SQLServer, Snowflake, and Coalesce.
• Define data models and integration patterns; document technical designs for stakeholders.
• Lead data platform migration and modernization initiatives (e.g., SQL Server to Snowflake) and ensure data quality.
• Mentor and guide Solution Architect I and other developers; enforce standards and CI/CD processes.
• Collaborate with IT Security and Information Governance to ensure data security and compliance.

The main objectives for a Solution Architect II, position revolve around designing, standardizing,and leading the implementation of scalable data platforms that align with specific business needs.The Solution Architect II level often implies proficiency, the ability to handle complex projectsindependently, and contributing to enterprise standards.

• Lead the architecture, design, development and maintenance of end-to-end reportingand analytics solutions, from data ingestion to visualization.
• Design, write and optimize complex ETL/ELT procedures and data pipelines across SQLServer, Coalesce, Snowflake and other platforms, ensuring data quality, reliability andrecoverability.
• Define data models (dimensional and relational), integration patterns and data flows fornew solutions; document technical designs and present them to stakeholders forapproval.
• Lead data platform migration and modernization initiatives (e.g., SQL Server toSnowflake, WhereScape to Coalesce), including planning, data validation andreconciliation between source and target systems.
• Optimize performance and cost of complex solutions leveraging SQL execution plans,SQL Profiler, Snowflake Query Profile, indexing strategies and warehouse monitoring.
• Act as SME and technical owner for code and subject areas in the DW; perform codereviews and validate production deployments.
• Define, document and enforce design and development standards and best practicesfor the analytics and reporting environment (coding standards, error handling, versioncontrol, CI/CD and deployment processes).
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to Solution Architect I and otherdevelopers; estimate, distribute and review technical work.
• Partner with business leaders to translate requirements into scalable solutions, estimateeffort and help prioritize the project roadmap.
• Collaborate with IT Security and Information Governance to ensure data security, accesscontrols and regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate new technologies and propose investments to expand the solution footprint(Snowflake, WhereScape, Coalesce and others); outline and enforce best practiceimplementation and incorporate solutions into Confie's overall IT stack.

Requirements

• Data warehouse architecture and dimensionalmodeling; ETL/ELT design patterns; cloud dataplatforms (Coalesce and Snowflake); queryperformance tuning; data governance, data qualityand data security best practices.
• English level: advanced (B2-C1)
• Advanced: SQL (T-SQL, Snowflake SQL), SQL Server,Snowflake, WhereScape, Coalesce,BigQuery, Tableau, Sigma.
• 5 to 8 years of progressive experience in DataEngineering, Software Development, or Infrastructureroles.
