Chromalloy in Mexicali, Mexico is seeking a Production Cell Leader to coordinate, motivate, and mobilize a team of operators across machining, welding, and finishing stations in a world-class aerospace environment. You will drive critical metrics and ensure safe, efficient workflow.

You will drive production plans, manage resources, ensure on-time delivery targets, promote cross-training, and uphold 5S standards while applying Lean tools to reduce bottlenecks and waste.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Aeronautical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• Open to sharp Recent Graduates with leadership potential or 1+ year experience leading technical teams in metal-working environments.
• Understanding of lean manufacturing tools and basic machining processes required.

Responsabilidades

• Assign and balance daily workloads for operators across machining, welding, and finishing stations.
• Promote cross-training across all critical cell roles.
• Guarantee timely delivery targets by managing materials, consumables, and tooling.
• Supervise routing, validate efficiency and adherence to standardized work.
• Monitor 5S, FOD mitigation, and coordinate preventive/corrective maintenance.

WE ARE HIRING: Production Cell Leader (Aerospace Components)Location: Mexicali, Mexico Industry: Aerospace / Aviation (MRO & Manufacturing) | Employment Type: Full-timeAbout the RoleAre you a natural leader with a passion for manufacturing and advanced metal-mechanic processes? We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Production Cell Leader to coordinate, motivate, and mobilize our on-site team of operators. In this role, you will be the driving force behind achieving our production plan and Turnaround Time (TAT) targets. You will oversee a complex component workflow involving critical processes such as Sandblast, Blend, EDM, CNC, Manual Lathe, Braze Weld, and TIG Welding within a world-class aerospace environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Personnel Mobilization: Assign and balance daily workloads for operators across machining, welding, and finishing stations.
• Promote cross-training across all critical cell roles.
• Production Plan Execution: Guarantee the timely fulfillment of delivery targets by managing raw materials, consumables, and necessary tooling for the cell.
• Process Sequencing & Control: Supervise components as they progress through the established technical routing, validating efficiency and adherence to standardized work.
• Maintenance & 5S: Monitor machinery health and coordinate preventive/corrective maintenance with the technical team. Enforce strict 5S standards and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) mitigation.
• Continuous Improvement: Keep shop floor metrics updated (pieces/hour, rework, scrap rate) and actively participate in Kaizen events to eliminate bottlenecks and reduce waste.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Aeronautical, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Open to sharp Recent Graduates with strong leadership and manufacturing foundations OR professionals with 1+ years of experience leading technical teams/operators in metal-mechanic or MRO environments.
• Technical Skills: General understanding of material removal and finishing processes (Sandblast and Blend). Familiarity with conventional and advanced machining techniques (CNC, Manual Lathe, and EDM). Basic knowledge of thermal joining processes (TIG Welding and Braze Weld). Understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing tools.
• Languages: Intermediate-Advanced English (B1/B2) to interpret blueprints, production routings, and technical work instructions. Fluent Spanish.
• Core Competencies: High drive, exceptional floor personnel management, conflict resolution skills, and a strong focus on delivering results under pressure.
