Job summary

Carrier is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure software and firmware quality across its Commercial Energy Management Solutions. You will work with Scrum teams to define testing objectives, design system-level tests, and perform regression and performance testing to ensure reliability and performance.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field and 3–5 years of QA experience, with familiarity in Agile/Scrum, scripting, and automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field.
• 3-5 years of experience in software and firmware quality assurance.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Scrum teams to understand product features and requirements, contributing to clear and concise testing objectives.
• Design and implement system-level tests to verify functionality across various software and firmware components.
• Conduct regression testing to identify any potential issues after changes or updates to software and firmware.
• Perform performance testing to evaluate system behaviors under various conditions and loads.
• Analyze test results, document bugs, and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Participate actively in Scrum meetings and provide updates on QA progress and challenges.
• Develop and implement automated testing tools and frameworks.

About the role

Requirements

• Proficient in system testing, regression testing, and performance testing methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages.
• Experience with AI-driven QA workflows
• Experience with Automated logic Software or Firmware products
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
