Job summary

Carrier, a global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, seeks an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer in Mexico to ensure software and firmware quality and performance. You will collaborate with Scrum teams across the development lifecycle to design, execute, and maintain system-level tests for Carrier's Commercial Energy Management Solutions.

The role requires 3–5 years in software/firmware QA, familiarity with Agile/Scrum, and experience with automated testing tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related engineering field.
• 3–5 years of experience in software and firmware quality assurance.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
• Proficient in system testing, regression testing, and performance testing methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing tools and scripting languages.
• Experience with AI-driven QA workflows.
• Experience with Automated logic Software or Firmware products.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Scrum teams to understand product features and requirements, contributing to clear and concise testing objectives.
• Design and implement system-level tests to verify functionality across various software and firmware components.
• Conduct regression testing to identify issues after changes or updates to software and firmware.
• Perform performance testing to evaluate system behaviors under various conditions and loads.
• Analyze test results, document bugs, and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Participate actively in Scrum meetings and provide updates on QA progress and challenges.
• Develop and implement automated testing tools and frameworks.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure software and firmware quality, reliability, and performance through system-level, regression, and performance testing. You will collaborate with Scrum teams throughout the development lifecycle for Carrier's Commercial Energy Management Solutions.

Requirements

• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
