Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine seeks a Software Development Leader in Ciudad Juárez to oversee a portfolio of development projects. You will provide technical leadership, guide architecture decisions, and ensure end-to-end delivery with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Systems and IT teams, mentoring engineers, and driving initiatives with continuous improvement. The role requires solid DevOps experience and strong communication skills in English.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 6–8 years of work experience.
• Experience in the Medical Device industry or medical field.
• Experience in developing robust software applications.
• Experience in databases (design and programming), ORM, and stored procedures.
• Experience managing third parties (suppliers, contractors).
• Advanced English proficiency.

Job Description:

Acting independently, the Software Development Leader provides technical support and advice in the department that manages and monitors systems and infrastructure operations and analyzes problems or malfunctions to ensure timely resolution.

Participates in the coordination of corrective actions with Systems Engineering as appropriate. Documents problems and their resolution. Ensures the operational integrity of all changes to the operational environment.

Under limited supervision and in accordance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations and Corporate Johnson & Johnson, procedures and guidelines, this position:

• Lead/Manage portfolio of multiple development projects
• Performs detailed analysis, design, implementation, and maintenance activities.
• Provides technical leadership and architecture guidance; make key design decisions affecting scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with different teams/groups within/outside the organization and supplier partners to ensure smooth end-to-end delivery of the products/projects.
• Develops and delivers project solutions on schedule and within budget based on department methodologies.
• Identify opportunities to efficiently build and release products using the latest innovations in technology
• Provides status reports, progress reports and documentation to department management and business partners.
• Help Business to improve process and to make data driven decisions
• Ensures client satisfaction by providing high-quality work and timely service.
• Act as dotted-line Technical Leader for engineers and technical resources who may have operational/functional reporting elsewhere, set engineering priorities, mentor, conduct technical reviews, and ensure alignment to standards.
• Actively participates on committees representing information technology organizations.
• Research emerging technologies in area of expertise.
• Acts as subject matter expert in area of expert
• Consistently demonstrates knowledge seeking and sharing behaviors across departments in performing daily work.
• Stays abreast of industry changes through education and training.
• Integrates system capabilities and utilizes appropriate resources.

Required

• Completed bachelor’s degree in computer science or related
• Generally, requires 6-8 Years Work Experience
• Experience in the Medical Device industry or medical field
• Experience in developing robust software applications
• Experience in databases (design and programming), strong knowledge of object-relational mapping and stored procedures
• Effectively manages third parties (e.g., Suppliers, agencies, contractors, etc).
• Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people
• Ability to work cooperatively with coworkers and the public.
• Advanced English

Additional Experience Requirements

• Solid programming experience preferably on .Net/Java/React/Angular
• Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals including Algorithms, Data Structures, Object Oriented Design, System Design.
• Solid experience of working with IT and application development functions and software validation methodologies, SDLC, CSV, GxP.
• Experience in one BI software tools like Power Bi, Tableau, Qlik, etc.
• Experience with DevOps, Azure/AWS etc.
• Constant and continuous knowledge of relevant technologies necessary to perform his/her job.
• Expert in describing the flow of processes to help in the redesign, re-engineering, etc.
• Understanding of the products and services of the business to define the requirements and needs of the partners of the business.
• Perfectly understands and applies his/her knowledge of the regulations of the business.
• Independently solves problems within his/her area of experience and/or escalates the problems to the correct personnel.
• Team leadership.
• Good communication skills – oral and written.
• Proficient in Agile methodology and experience of project delivery using project management tools
• Familiarity with Version control repository.
• Applies the requirements of compliance within his/area of responsibility, provides and performs the requirement documentation and participates in the activities of compliance when required.
