Johnson & Johnson in Juárez, Mexico, seeks a Site Technical Operations Manager to lead engineering operations, drive process improvements, and ensure regulatory compliance within a medical device environment.

The role requires extensive experience in manufacturing/design engineering, P.E. licensure, and strong leadership and project management capabilities to develop teams and strategic plans. This position is based on site in Juárez.

Formación

  • Must have experience with process automation.
  • Eight to ten years’ experience in manufacturing /design engineering.
  • A minimum of BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering.
  • P.E. License.
  • Desirable BS, MS, or PhD in engineering discipline with experience or equivalent knowledge and skills to perform the position responsibilities.
  • P.E. License Desirable.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to function in a team-based environment.
  • Analytical skills and professional judgment to resolve major technical issues.
  • Ability to create management level presentations and formal reports.
  • Knowledge of working in FDA/medical device regulated industry.

Responsabilidades

  • Create and institute career development programs, goals and objectives of subordinates in the engineering team.
  • Plans, conducts and directs engineering project or studies including complete projects requiring advanced knowledge of a specialized field.
  • Applies comprehensive and diverse knowledge of engineering principles within broad assignment areas.
  • Tracks and trends data; identifies and implements process improvements to improve business measures.
  • Develops engineering department goals and ensures targets are met.
  • Ensure adherence to QSR and quality policy; OSHA and machine guarding requirements.
  • Develops long/short-term strategic plans for the engineering organization and ensures adherence.
  • Cost management of engineering operations; manage site capital budget.
  • Support safety and industrial hygiene objectives; mitigate risks in processes and equipment.
  • Responsible for validation and change control execution; support diversity & inclusion.
  • Collaborate with Ethicon global engineering network; share best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Create and institute career development programs, goals and objectives of subordinates in the engineering team

  • Ensure all OSHA and J& J Machine guarding requirements are met for new equipment and equipment changes as part of validation activities.
  • Develops long and short-term strategic plans for the engineering organization and ensures adherence to plan
  • Ensure effective cost management of engineering operations
  • Manages the Capital budget and spending for the site.
  • Support and promote the safety and industrial hygiene objectives of the plant
  • Pro-actively mitigates risks in processes and equipment.
  • Responsible for validation and change control execution to meet associated procedures.
  • Support diversity & inclusion
  • Collaborate and share best practices with Ethicon global engineering network, Technical Operations, PM, LCM, Ethicon sites, etc..
  • Creates and fosters and environment of continuous improvement for personnel and processes.
  • Drives and supports all technology and digital activities for the site and collaborates with the corporate digital core team.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Responsible for following all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices as applicable.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Position required excellent communications skills plus the ability to function in a team-based manufacturing environment.
  • Must demonstrate a mastery of the analytical skills and professional judgment required to resolve major technical issues.
  • Capable of creating effective management level presentations, writing formal reports dealing with both technical and business implications, and preparing project plans while identifying and understanding the interrelationships of related disciplines and key activities.
  • Knowledge of working and supervising in an FDA /medical device regulated industry
