Job summary

QUALCOMM SEMICONDUCTORES Y SISTEMAS AVANZADOS DE BAJA CALIFORNIA is seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Reliability Engineer to design, operate, and scale large cloud systems. You will build IaC pipelines, manage Kubernetes clusters, and implement AI-driven automation for operational efficiency.

You will collaborate with SRE and development teams to improve reliability, performance, and cost efficiency across regions, while maintaining runbooks and proactive failure prevention.

Qualifications

• Experience operating large-scale distributed cloud systems.
• Hands-on with AWS in production environments.
• Direct experience with OpenStack.
• Strong Linux background in large-scale SaaS/production environments.
• Ability to maintain and improve mission-critical systems and reduce debt.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage cloud infrastructure with AWS and OpenStack.
• Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes manifests/Helm.
• Operate production Kubernetes clusters at scale and improve reliability.
• Own monitoring, incident response, and post-incident reviews.
• Develop AI-assisted automation for runbooks and workflows.
