Job summary

Qualcomm’s Silicon Validation team in Baja California seeks an ASIC validation engineer with strong C/assembly skills and OS concepts. You’ll design validation tests for multi-processor systems, develop bare-metal software, and collaborate with hardware and software teams on system-level use cases.

Prior experience in pre-silicon emulation or post-silicon regression is a plus. Bachelor’s with 2+ years of ASIC/verification experience, or Master’s/PhD in a related field, are considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work.
• Master’s degree with 1+ year, or PhD in related field, may substitute.
• Experience with system-level software and hardware interfaces is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize validation tests for multi-processor systems with system-level concurrency.
• Develop bare-metal software, low-level hardware interfaces, registers, interrupts, and clock/power management.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to validate system-level use cases.
• Debug and troubleshoot SoC with limited visibility using development boards and lab equipment.
• Implement and optimize algorithms for performance, power efficiency, and memory footprint.
• Support pre-silicon validation with simulation, emulation, and FPGAs.
• Conduct post-silicon bring-up, validation, system use cases, and integration.
