Molex, a Koch company, seeks a Signal Integrity Test Engineer to validate high-speed connectors, cables, and assemblies. You will design test plans, perform measurements, analyze results, and drive design improvements in a collaborative lab environment.

You will mentor technicians, maintain test archives, and ensure instrument calibration while supporting ongoing quality initiatives at Molex.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years hands-on signal integrity testing or high-speed hardware validation.
• Proficiency with VNAs, TDRs, BERTs and high-bandwidth oscilloscopes.
• Experience automating tests with Python or MATLAB.
• Strong communication and ability to work both independently and in teams.

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement test plans for validation of high-speed connectors, cables, and assemblies.
• Perform signal integrity measurements using VNAs, TDRs, BERTs, and high-bandwidth oscilloscopes.
• Analyze eye diagrams, jitter, impedance, crosstalk, return loss, and insertion loss.
• Translate test results into actionable recommendations for product and design improvements.
• Identify and resolve signal degradation issues during product validation.
• Apply post-processing methods, including embedding and de-embedding techniques.
• Collaborate with design engineers to prepare test samples and fixtures.
• Set up custom testing systems and develop automation solutions.
• Maintain organized archives of test samples and fixtures.
• Ensure calibration, accuracy, and precision of laboratory equipment.
• Create and maintain test procedures, technical reports, and validation results.
• Mentor laboratory technicians and contribute to the team’s technical development.
• Support Molex quality standards and continuous improvement efforts.

As a Signal Integrity Test Engineer, you will validate and measure high-speed digital and RF connectors, cables, and assemblies. Your work will help ensure optimal signal performance across multiple platforms while supporting prototype validation, test development, and laboratory optimization initiatives.

This hands-on position offers a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to coordinate essential testing activities, collaborate with engineering teams, and mentor laboratory technicians.

Our Team

You will join a high-performance testing team focused on delivering accurate, reliable, and actionable signal integrity results. Reporting to the Lab Manager, you will work closely with design engineering and laboratory technicians to validate new products, develop testing capabilities, and continuously improve laboratory processes.

What You Will Do

• Design and implement test plans for the validation of high-speed connectors, cables, and assemblies.
• Perform signal integrity measurements using vector network analyzers, time-domain reflectometers, bit error rate testers, and high-bandwidth oscilloscopes.
• Analyze eye diagrams, jitter, impedance, crosstalk, return loss, and insertion loss.
• Translate test results into actionable recommendations for product and design improvements.
• Identify and resolve signal degradation issues during product validation.
• Apply post-processing methods, including embedding and de-embedding techniques.
• Collaborate with design engineers to prepare test samples and fixtures.

Who You Are

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• At least hree years of hands-on experience in signal integrity testing or high-speed hardware validation.
• Proficient in using VNAs, TDRs, BERTs, and high-bandwidth oscilloscopes.
• Experience analyzing the TDR performance of high-speed channels.
• Experience developing automation scripts using Python, MATLAB, or similar tools.
• Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Collaboration well with others while also working independently.
• Manage multiple priorities and organize your time effectively.
• You approach technical challenges with attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.

What Will Put You Ahead

• Knowledge of high-speed serial protocols and related compliance standards.
• Direct experience testing high-speed cable and connector systems.
• Familiarity with signal integrity data-processing platforms such as PLTS, ISD, ECLIPSE, and SNP tools.
• Experience developing customized test systems or laboratory automation solutions.
• Previous experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to laboratory technicians.
