Dematic's Monterrey MX plant seeks a Shipping Coordinator to support outbound shipping by planning and optimizing road, air, and ocean shipments to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires strong analytics, SAP and Power BI proficiency, and excellent customer service as the primary contact between clients, planners, carriers, and warehouse operations. You will monitor flows, schedule shipments, track status, and identify improvements.

Formación

• Experience in transportation, warehousing, or logistics preferred.
• Ability to prioritize client phone calls/emails with urgency.
• Self-starter and highly motivated.
• Ability to handle stress and exceptions professionally.
• Hilo experience preferred.
• SAP experience required.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel; experience with TMS and ERP/MRP planning systems preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Plan and schedule weekly/daily outbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery, using road, air, ocean as needed.
• Prioritize shipments for on-time delivery and hot expedite requests.
• Communicate with client location planners to coordinate shipment activity.
• Track shipments and update clients on status.
• Use analytical skills to determine best solutions for situations.
• Provide a high level of customer service.
• Use SAP, Power BI, and Excel to manage inbound/outbound data.
• Organize and distribute daily outbound load reports.
• Position requires creating loads and outbound shipments in SAP.
• Report daily, weekly, and monthly KPI metrics.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.
• Communicate proactively with clients via phone and email.
• Participate in special projects and responsibilities as assigned.

The Shipping Coordinator is a key member of the outbound shipping team at Monterrey MX plant. Under the management of the Warehouse Operations Manager, this individual will support the operation by planning and optimizing outbound shipments to include road, air, and ocean for on-time delivery to client locations. This position demands a high level of customer service and will serve as the main point of contact between GOM, buyers, carriers, and warehouse operations. This individual must have strong analytical skills and must be proficient with SAP and Power BI applications. This individual must be a team player who is customer-focused and has the required skills and experience to be successful in the role.

We offer:

Essential Functions:

• Monitor inbound and outbound flow of materials processed through the Monterrey MX plant.
• Plan and schedule weekly/daily outbound shipments, assuring on-time delivery of materials while utilizing the most cost-effective mode of transportation; truckload, LTL, air freight or expedite
• Prioritize each outbound shipment for on-time delivery of each order to the client location, as well as any hot expedite requests by project.
• Communicate with planners at client locations to coordinate daily shipment activity and expedite requests, providing timely and accurate information
• Track progress of inbound and outbound shipments from the Monterrey facilities and keeping clients updated on status of shipments
• Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to determine the best possible solution for each situation
• Exude a high level of customer service
• Utilize multiple computer systems to manage inbound/outbound data: SAP, Power BI, and Excel
• Organize and distribute daily outbound load reports
• Position requires extensive work in SAP creating loads and setting up outbound shipments
• Reporting of daily, weekly, and monthly key performance metrics
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Identify and execute opportunities for cost savings / cost avoidance
• Responsive and proactive communication both internally and externally with clients via phone and email
• Various other special projects and responsibilities as assigned

Required Skills:

• Experience in transportation, warehousing, or logistics field is preferred
• Ability to prioritize client phone calls/emails and respond with a strong sense of urgency
• Must be a self-starter and highly motivated individual
• Tolerate high levels of stress and exceptions in a professional business manner.
• Hilo experience preferred
• SAP experience required
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel is required. Experience with other applications including transportation management systems and ERP/MRP planning systems is preferred.
