Job summary

EarnIn is seeking a Senior HRIS Analyst to own and evolve our Workday platform, focusing on payroll administration and Core HCM. You’ll partner with People, Finance, and IT to deliver scalable, AI-enabled workflows while ensuring data integrity and security across the employee lifecycle.

The role supports Payroll Operations, with a Mountain View salary reference and options for remote work from PT or CT time zones; a strong Workday payroll foundation is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Workday Payroll configuration and administration
• 5+ years of HRIS experience with deep Workday expertise
• Strong configuration experience in Workday Payroll and Core HCM
• Experience with Workday configuration including Business Process Framework, Security, and Advanced Reporting
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with stakeholders in People, Accounting, Payroll, Finance, and IT
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience creating structured documentation and leveraging AI tools to enhance system design, testing, and analysis
• Advanced analytical and technical skills for translating business needs into requirements and delivering solutions
• Experience in global and matrixed organizations is a plus
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, IS, or equivalent is a plus

Responsibilities

• Administer Workday Payroll configuration end-to-end, including pay groups, earnings, deductions, and payroll-impacting processes
• Serve as primary systems contact for Payroll Operations, ensuring accurate pay processing
• Own configuration and optimization of Workday Payroll and other Core HCM areas
• Support configuration across other Workday areas including Time and Absence
• Design and maintain business processes, workflows, and system controls across the employee lifecycle
• Lead system enhancements, releases and feature adoption
• Ensure Workday integrates with broader enterprise ecosystem including access governance and compliance
• Identify opportunities to simplify and automate People processes via Workday and related systems
• Drive scalable solutions reducing manual effort and improving data accuracy
• Contribute to Workday roadmap by prioritizing enhancements based on impact
• Establish and maintain system governance and best practices
• Partner with People Operations and external Workday support to manage escalations
• Ensure data consistency across Workday and downstream financial systems
• Develop and maintain system documentation; leverage AI to accelerate documentation
• Troubleshoot system issues and implement scalable fixes
• Build and maintain advanced Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields
• Deliver insights across People and Finance
• Ensure workforce data integrity
• Collaborate with Finance in budgeting and headcount reporting
• Support testing strategies and high-quality deployments
• Leverage AI to define test strategies and improve design
