Overview

At TouchTunes, we’re developing a next-generation hybrid application that combines a cutting-edge web interface with native Android capabilities. The product runs on tablets and delivers a highly interactive, multimedia experience.

As a Senior Web Developer (Hybrid / Capacitor.js), you will develop, adapt, and integrate the web application into the Capacitor.js runtime, ensuring it is optimized for tablet-specific experiences. You will also handle the integration of management interfaces and portals that support tablet operations. This role requires mastery of React, Capacitor.js, and CSS, with expertise in advanced UI techniques to deliver a smooth, animation-rich, touch-optimized experience.

Responsibilities

• Integrate the web application into Capacitor.js, ensuring smooth interoperability between web and native layers.
• Adapt the React-based web UI for tablet devices, implementing tablet-specific layouts, interaction patterns, and behaviors.
• Ensure advanced multimedia UI performance through optimized use of CSS, Canvas, and WebGL.
• Implement smooth animations, transitions, and touch interactions to deliver a natural and fluid user experience on tablets.
• Integrate and maintain management interfaces and portals that support device operation and administration.
• Collaborate with the Android team to align web-native integration points, plugins, and APIs.
• Ensure secure and performant design practices in all web components.
• Leverage AI tools and practices to accelerate UI development, improve quality, and enhance the development workflow.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Capacitor.js (mandatory), including plugin usage and integration with native APIs.
• Demonstrated expertise in responsive/adaptive design and tablet-specific UI adaptations.
• Proficiency in building smooth, animation-rich experiences for touchscreens using CSS animations, Canvas, and WebGL.
• Familiarity with offline-first strategies, secure data flows, and integration with backend services.
• Strong collaboration skills, able to work with Android developers, backend engineers, and product teams.
• Demonstrated AI fluency: adept at using AI tools to improve development workflows, accelerate prototyping, and optimize UI/UX design.

Nice-to-have

• Exposure to multimedia systems (video compositing, real-time updates).
• Familiarity with kiosk-style or managed device environments.
• Experience with performance profiling and debugging complex rendering issues.
