Amply is seeking a senior web designer to own projects end to end, from brief to developer handoff. You’ll create production-ready sites, design systems, and ensure alignment with business goals. Remote, EST-hours, and AI-enabled workflows shape how you work.

With 5+ years designing marketing websites, you’ll showcase a strong portfolio, mastery of Figma, Webflow, and an ability to defend design decisions to clients. Collaboration with a development team and design leads is essential.

About the role

We’re looking for a senior web designer who can own projects end to end, from brief and creative direction through design system, execution and developer handoff.

The role has changed a lot in the last year. We’ve always built exceptional Webflow sites, and we still do, but we’re increasingly working as a strategic partner to marketing leaders, and AI is reshaping how sites get designed, built and improved. Our projects are increasingly platform agnostic. The designers who do well here bring strong judgment and taste, use AI fluently as part of their process, and are curious about where this is heading rather than attached to how it used to work.

You’ll work across both project-based engagements and long-term client accounts, alongside design leads, project managers and our development team. It suits someone who enjoys ownership, thinks about the business goal behind every brief, and holds themselves to a high standard.

What you’ll do

• Own web design on your projects from kickoff to launch: concept and direction, design system, execution, developer handoff and design QA on the build
• Deliver production-ready work at a consistently high standard, with clean design systems, consistent typography and files a development team can build from
• Interpret briefs critically, define the right level of complexity for each client, and develop original directions from research and references
• Manage scope and time on your work, and flag early when either is at risk
• Present to clients and defend design decisions with clear reasoning
• Collaborate with developers on feasibility and review builds against your designs before launch
• Use AI tools throughout the process, from research and discovery synthesis to reference gathering, concept exploration and early copy
• Contribute to our design system, standards and knowledge sharing across the team

Who we’re looking for

This role isn’t suitable for junior or mid-level candidates. We’re looking for someone who already operates at a senior level and can own a project’s design outcome independently.

• 5+ years designing marketing websites, with at least 2 in an agency or multi-client environment. The pace and client dynamics are specific
• Portfolio of shipped B2B or SaaS websites where you can speak to the brief, the constraints and what you’d do differently
• Figma at a systems level: variables, local styles, auto layout, component architecture and naming conventions ready for developer handoff
• Working understanding of Webflow, enough to design for it, know its limits and review a build against your file
• Demonstrated, current use of AI in a real design workflow. Claude, Flora, Midjourney or equivalents; fluency matters more than the specific tool. This is a requirement, and you’ll be asked to demonstrate it during the process
• Confident presenting to clients and comfortable with pushback in both directions
• Strong on estimates and timelines, and a proactive communicator when they’re at risk
• Able to work within EST hours
• Comfortable working autonomously, with clear direction and support from our Head of Design
