Collins Aerospace in Mexicali is seeking a Senior Design Engineer, Tooling to design and develop manufacturing tools that support safe, ergonomic, high-quality production in line with Tool Design Manuals and aerospace industry best practices.

The role requires advanced CATIA V5 skills to create detailed 3D models and drawings for tooling across composite layup, sheet metal fabrication, machining, and mechanical assembly, with strong RCCA collaboration and cross‑functional teamwork.

Formación

• Degree in STEM and 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Advanced CATIA V5 proficiency for tooling drawings.
• Experience designing tooling for composite layup, sheet metal fabrication, machining, and mechanical assembly.
• Knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Professional proficiency in English for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Design and develop manufacturing tools for safe, high-quality production.
• Create 3D CATIA V5 models and drawings for tooling.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, Quality, and Engineering teams.
• Investigate tooling issues through RCCA and implement corrective actions.
• Drive continuous improvement in tooling to boost quality and productivity.
