Thermo Fisher Scientific in Tijuana, Mexico, is seeking a Sr Manufacturing Engineering Technician to maintain and optimize manufacturing processes, calibrate and troubleshoot equipment, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet quality standards and safety requirements.

The role emphasizes working with molds and precision tools, following GMP/ISO guidelines, and supporting Lean initiatives while adapting to shifts and demanding

Formación

• Execute repair work on tools per engineering and quality specs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on molds.
• Operate conventional machinery (lathe, mill, grinding, hand tools).
• Maintain tools for shop work orders.
• Keep area clean, safe, orderly.
• Read technical drawings, P&IDs, and equipment docs.
• Know GMP, ISO standards and regulatory requirements.
• Use precision measurement tools and test equipment.
• Experience with preventive maintenance documentation.
• Work collaboratively and respond to emergencies across shifts.
• Stand and lift up to 50 lbs; work in varying environmental conditions.
• Lean/Six Sigma experience preferred.
• English proficiency desirable.
