Job summary

Jabil is seeking a skilled Test Equipment Technician to support the commissioning and operation of test equipment on the manufacturing floor. You will assist Test Engineers, provide line support for test processes, and ensure preventative maintenance aligns with production schedules.

Strong PC skills and familiarity with Jabil software will help in troubleshooting, data gathering, and reporting downtime. This on-site role requires effective communication and teamwork on a fast-paced line.

Qualifications

• Ability to effectively present information to managers or customers.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to operate a Windows PC and related software.
• Advanced PC skills, including knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and read visual aids.
• Ability to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assist Test Engineers when commissioning new test equipment.
• Provide line support to manufacturing for all test processes.
• Ensure timely response to machine down calls and determine repair priorities.
• Liaise with manufacturing to ensure preventive maintenance does not impact production.
• Instruct operators on safe/effective use of test equipment and provide daily downtime reports.
