Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the structural design of buildings.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software (ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE) and CAD tools.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and seismic design requirements in Mexico.
• Experience with steel, concrete, and masonry materials.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a project team environment.
• Experience working in Toluca or surrounding areas is a plus.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design for building projects, including foundations, framing, and seismic resistance.
• Prepare detailed structural drawings, calculations, and specifications using relevant software.
• Collaborate with architects and other design consultants to ensure cohesive project development.
• Conduct site inspections during construction to verify adherence to design specifications.
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs from contractors.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, seismic design provisions, and industry standards.
• Assist in preparation of project proposals and cost estimates.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
