Collins Aerospace in Mexicali is seeking a Senior Structural Analyst to lead and perform advanced analyses on aircraft components, using FEM tools such as Nastran, Patran, and HyperMesh. You will guide international teams, review load paths, and drive improvements in processes and technical solutions.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in aircraft structural analysis, a strong English command, and a relevant engineering degree. On-site opportunities and relocation eligibility are available.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Mechatronics, Mechanic, or Aerospace.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with FEM tools: Nastran, Patran, HyperMesh, and hand calculations.
• Experience with aircraft structural components analysis (static, durability, damage tolerance, EBU, actuation, nacelle).
• Advanced proficiency in English, written and spoken.

Responsabilidades

• Lead and manage moderately sized structural analysis projects with significant impact on organizational objectives.
• Perform advanced structural analyses for aircraft components and systems using analytical and finite element methods.
• Evaluate load paths and support airframe design activities involving metallic and composite structures.
• Conduct and review analyses related to static strength, durability (LCF and HCF), damage tolerance, EBU, actuation systems, and nacelle structures.
• Develop innovative technical solutions by researching and integrating industry best practices.
• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and engineering documentation to support design decisions and certification activities.
• Collaborate closely with international engineering teams and provide technical guidance to lower-level engineers.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives by enhancing existing processes, tools, and systems.
• Support structural testing activities and interpret material behavior and properties for both metallic and composite materials.
• Support and conduct technical presentations (CDR and PDR).

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with stress analysis of metallic and composite structure
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, bill of materials, technical documents, etc.
• Substantial knowledge of aircraft materials and fabrication/shop processes
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to engage in high volume communication with internal and external customers
