A leading aerospace manufacturer in Querétaro seeks an Engineering Professional specializing in Stress. The role involves ensuring design solutions meet stress specifications, executing complex assignments, and performing analyses on structures. Candidates should have a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering and 5 to 8 years of relevant aerospace experience. Proficiency in English and familiarity with Finite Element Analysis tools are essential. The position offers a day shift working environment and emphasizes employee development.

Formación

  • 5 to 8 years in the aerospace industry.

What are your contributions to the team?
  • Ensure design solutions meet stress performance specifications, applicable airworthiness regulations, and industry best practice.
  • Review dispositions of production support engineering and substantiate repairs to demonstrate required stress performance, and compliance with applicable airworthiness regulations.
  • Execute intermediate to complex Stress engineering assignments requiring familiarity with several fields of engineering.
  • Identify and report on defects and deficiencies in work done by others.
  • Prepare progress reports.
  • Recommend changes in plans and specifications to suit special conditions.
  • Generate documentation for approval by others.
  • Review sections of documents prepared by others and recommend approval.
  • Perform various stress analyses of static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance and finite element model (FEM) analysis for composite and/or metallic structures.
  • Identify design risks and weight reduction opportunities.
  • Support concept generation and structural optimization by guiding engineers as they model the structure.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You hold a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree with strong focus on Mechanics of Materials and Structural Analysis.
  • You have 5 to 8 years in the aerospace industry with good understanding of Stress requirements, tools and solutions.
  • You have previous experience in Aircraft Structural substantiation analysis.
  • You have functional knowledge of metallic and composite material properties.
  • You have static strength requirements of aeronautical metallic structure.
  • You have knowledge of composite classical laminate theory and composite failure analysis.
  • You are familiar with Finite Element Analysis principles and associated tools.
  • You have fatigue requirements of aeronautical metallic structure.
  • You are aware of aeronautical certification requirements.
  • You have hands-on experience in FEM analysis.
  • You have experience in structural analysis using classical hand calculation.
  • You have experience in composite structure analysis.
  • You have experience in metallic structure fatigue and Damage Tolerance analysis.
  • You have experience in structure sizing and certification.
  • You have experience in repair sizing & justification.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office Tools.
  • You have strong communication skills in English (written, spoken).
  • You are a team player and can demonstrate good organizational skills.

You have personal initiative and is creative in finding ways to resolve problems.
