Capital One is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Backend in Mexico City to join a fast-paced Agile team. You will design, develop, test, and support backend services, collaborating across product, design, and operations to deliver reliable cloud-based solutions.

We value strong Java, AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD experience, plus the ability to mentor others and stay current with new technologies. English fluency is required to collaborate with global partners.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree required
• 4+ years of Java development experience
• 3+ years of AWS experience
• Experience with Kubernetes (EKS/Onekube)
• Experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines
• Advanced English fluency

What You’ll Do:

• Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in full-stack development tools and technologies
• Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community
• Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment
• Utilize programming languages like Java, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services

Basic Qualifications:

• Advanced English fluency
• Bachelor’s Degree
• At least 3 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
• 4+ years of experience in Java programming language
• 3+ years of experience with AWS
• Experience in Kubernetes (EKS / Onekube)
• Experience with Containerization and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Performance / Load Testing experience
• Python as programming language
