DFX5 is seeking a Senior Software Developer to design, build, and ship high-quality software for Latin America and beyond. You’ll own features end-to-end—from architecture and coding to testing, deployment, and iteration—and set the technical standard for teams around you.

This senior, high-ownership role requires clean, scalable code, sound architectural decisions, and mentorship that lifts the whole team.

Formación

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, with ownership of major features or systems.
• Proficiency in modern languages and frameworks (Java, C#/.NET, Python, Node.js, Go, TS/JS).
• Experience with databases, API design (REST/GraphQL), and microservices.

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable software across full stack or areas of depth.
• Translate requirements into solid technical designs and clean code.
• Make architectural decisions balancing performance, security, and maintainability.
• Write clean, well-documented code and champion CI/CD and automated testing.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and PM to deliver features on time.
• Mentor mid-level and junior developers and raise the team's technical bar.

Senior Software Developer - DFX5

About the role

At DFX5 we build edge technology that moves our clients' businesses forward. We're looking for a Senior Software Developer to design, build, and ship high-quality software that solves complex, real-world problems for some of the largest companies in Latin America and beyond. You'll own features end to end - from architecture and coding through testing, deployment, and iteration - and set the technical standard for the teams around you.

This is a senior, high-ownership role for an engineer who writes clean, scalable code, makes sound architectural decisions, and lifts the whole team through mentorship and example.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable software solutions across the full stack (or your area of depth).
• Translate business and product requirements into solid technical designs and well-structured code.
• Make and document architectural decisions, weighing performance, scalability, security, and maintainability.
• Write clean, testable, well-documented code and champion engineering best practices (code reviews, CI/CD, automated testing).
• Collaborate closely with product, design, QA, and project management to deliver features on scope and on time.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for performance and reliability in production.
• Mentor mid-level and junior developers, and raise the technical bar across the team.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and bring practical improvements back to the team.

What you bring

• 6+ years of professional software development experience, including senior-level ownership of significant features or systems.
• Strong proficiency in one or more modern languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, C#/.NET, Python, Node.js, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, React/Angular - per DFX5's stack).
• Solid experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, API design (REST/GraphQL), and microservices architectures.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong grasp of software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and the full SDLC.
• Experience with version control (Git) and Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the judgment to balance speed with quality.
• Fluent English; additional languages a plus.

Education & certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software/Systems Engineering, IT, or a related field (Master's a plus). Equivalent professional experience will be considered.
• Relevant certifications are a strong plus, such as cloud credentials (AWS Certified Developer / Solutions Architect) or recognized certifications in your core stack.
