BairesDev is seeking a Senior Software Architect (Node.js / TypeScript) to lead the architecture of an AWS-hosted platform. You will translate user needs into designs, own capabilities from concept to production, and drive the technical direction for a product where architecture impacts real users.

Expect to work with end users to gather requirements, shape event-driven microservices, and guide AI-assisted development while maintaining observability and rapid incident repair.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with Architect or Lead responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for backend development on AWS-hosted platforms.
• Track record designing event-driven microservices architectures in production.
• Comfort eliciting requirements from end users and challenging proposed solutions.
• Hands-on work with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex.
• Experience taking software to production and owning its operation (observability, incident repair, fix-forward).
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Senior Software Architect (Node.js / TypeScript) at BairesDev

In this role, you'll lead the architecture of a Node.js and TypeScript platform on AWS, translating what end users need into designs the team can build and run with confidence. You'll shape how services communicate and evolve, and own capabilities from the first conversation to production. What We Are Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with Architect or Lead responsibilities.
• Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript for back-end development on AWS-hosted platforms.
• Track record of designing event-driven microservices architectures running in production, and explaining the design decisions clearly.
• Comfort working directly with end users, eliciting detailed requirements, asking probing questions, and respectfully challenging proposed solutions.
• Hands-on work with agentic and AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex, from requirements and specs through build, validation, deployment, and observation.
• Background taking software to production and owning its operation, such as observability, incident repair, fix-forward, and low MTTR.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Nice To Have

• Familiarity with React and Next.js front ends.
• Understanding of DORA metrics, cycle time, and flow efficiency.
• Exposure to LegalTech or other regulated domains, such as SOC 2 or HIPAA.
