AgileEngine, LLC is seeking a Senior SDET to strengthen quality across web and API layers using Java, REST Assured, and Playwright. This role blends a developer-first QA mindset with shift-left testing embedded into CI/CD pipelines, offering the chance to build testing practices from the ground up in a fast-moving engineering environment.

You will build scalable automation frameworks, define strategy, and mentor engineers while delivering frontend and API tests in a modern tech stack.

Formación

• 4+ years of experience as an SDET Engineer.
• Strong programming skills in Java (developer-first QA).
• Extensive experience using REST Assured for backend testing.
• Proven hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Deep understanding of shift-left approach and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently and provide technical direction on quality initiatives.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior SDET to strengthen quality across web and API layers using Java, REST Assured, and Playwright. This role blends a developer's mindset with a shift-left testing philosophy, embedding automation directly into CI/CD pipelines. It offers the chance to build testing practices from the ground up in a fast-moving engineering environment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Build and maintain scalable, robust automation frameworks from the ground up for both Web and API layers.
• Define the automation strategy, ensuring high test coverage and reliable release cycles within your squads.
• Create comprehensive API automation suites to ensure the integrity of microservices.
• Implement and manage frontend automation scripts to ensure a top-tier user experience.
• Mentor other engineers on testing best practices and foster a "quality-first" culture.

MUST HAVES

• 4+ years of experience as an SDET Engineer.
• Strong programming skills in Java (a "developer-first" approach to QA).
• Extensive experience using REST Assured for backend testing.
• Proven hands-on experience with Playwright.
• Deep understanding of the "shift-left" approach and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently and provide technical direction on quality initiatives.

NICE TO HAVES

• Previous experience in the Loyalty or Fintech sectors.
• Experience with Performance or Load testing (e.g., JMeter or Gatling).
• Familiarity with Cloud infrastructure and SQL for data validation within test scripts.
• Experience working with Mocking frameworks.
