Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly skilled AI Developer with a robotics specialization to join its engineering team in Acapulco, Guerrero. You will develop intelligent control, perception, and decision-making algorithms powering next-gen robots.

You will work with computer vision, sensor fusion, path planning, and ML, using ROS, Gazebo, and real hardware. Proficiency in C++ and Python is required to deliver robust robotic solutions.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in AI/Robotics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional AI development experience in robotics.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI algorithms for robot navigation, manipulation and interaction.
• Implement and optimize perception systems using sensor data (cameras, LiDAR, IMU).
• Design and test control strategies and motion planning algorithms.
• Integrate machine learning models for enhanced robot autonomy and learning.
• Work with robotic simulation environments (ROS, Gazebo) and real hardware.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to define system requirements and test designs.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code in C++ and Python.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex robotic and AI systems.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and technological advancements in robotics and AI.
• Contribute to project planning and technical documentation.
