Senior Research Assistant / Research Assistant I/II (several posts)

The University of Hong Kong is inviting applications for appointment as Senior Research Assistant / Research Assistant I/II (several posts) in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref.: 533738). The post commences as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline, with a strong research focus and at least three years post-qualification experience, or a Master’s Degree in the above fields with one year post-qualification experience.

Responsibilities

The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in managing, coordinating, and implementing research activities, including programme evaluation, literature review, data collection, data analysis, report drafting, and other assigned duties. The position offers ample opportunities to collaborate with social workers, multidisciplinary professionals, and community stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese).
• Competency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis.
• Proficiency in software applications such as NVivo, R, SPSS, and STATA.
• Knowledge and experience in mixed research methods (highly preferred).

Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I or II.
