Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Senior Manager, Quality to lead all aspects of quality assurance and control within a designated area. You will drive continuous improvement of product quality, processes, and systems, mentoring quality teams and coordinating with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain.

The role requires a strong track record in automotive-quality environments, with expertise in IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and Six Sigma. Travel is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years in quality assurance/control in manufacturing.
• 3–5 years in a leadership role within quality.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001; Lead Auditor preferred.
• Proficiency with SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and 8D.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain quality management systems (IATF 16949, ISO 9001) to ensure compliance with standards and customer requirements.
• Lead and mentor a team of quality engineers and technicians.
• Oversee incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections and audits.
• Drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma, Lean, 8D, and SPC.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to implement CAPA.
• Manage customer quality concerns, warranty analysis, and audits.
• Develop and monitor KPIs and report trends to senior management.
• Participate in NPD and launches ensuring quality is integrated from design to production.
• Conduct internal and external quality audits.
• Manage quality budget and resources and foster a strong quality culture.
