Benchmark Electronics Tijuana, S. de R.L. de C.V. is seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to lead quality improvements and manage customer complaints. This role requires strong expertise in SMT processes and excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, over 5 years of experience, and proficiency in Agile and PFS systems. The job is based in Tijuana, and flexibility in shifts may be required.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in SMT and selective soldering processes.
• Strong knowledge of SMT, through-hole, and conformal coating processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with customers.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and drive continuous quality improvements within cross-functional teams (CFT)
• Support Failure Analysis (FA) reports for new product introductions and transfers
• Manage and follow up on customer complaints, ensuring timely resolution
• Act as the main point of contact for customers on quality-related topics
• Review and approve documentation in PFS and Agile systems
• Support material disposition and control within MRB processes
• Generate Quality Alerts and coordinate containment actions (purges) as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with quality standards

• 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer in SMT and selective soldering processes (or similar role)
• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Strong knowledge of SMT, through-hole, and conformal coating processes
• Expertise in IPC-A-610 standards; Internal Auditor certification is a plus
• Experience with non-conforming material management (FPY, PPMs), and problem-solving methodologies (8D, FMEA, Control Plan, MRB)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially with customers
• Strong teamwork, ethics, and sense of responsibility
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency, including flexible shifts if required
• Knowledge of Agile, PFS, Power BI, and LN systems is a plus
