Cadence Design Systems is seeking a Principal Quality Engineer to join the Hardware Systems Verification Team. You will analyze quality and reliability data and perform advanced statistical analyses to drive improvements across manufacturing and supplier processes.

The role requires a BS in sciences with at least 4 years of related experience, deep hands-on understanding of telecom manufacturing, and proven ability to implement corrective actions, lead audits, and develop data-driven quality

Formación

• BS degree in sciences and at least 4 years of related experience.
• Hands-on understanding of manufacturing and operations processes in Telecommunications.
• Background in quality engineering and familiarity with boards and system assembly.
• Develop reliability measurements (MTBF, DOA, IRR, YRR).
• Ability to organize, prioritize, manage staff and solve problems.
• Understand electro-mechanical assembly processes for standard product assembly.
• Determine quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods.
• Establish statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error, determining levels of confidence.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible for Quality System Maintenance.
• Root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
• Assist Quality management in establishing, implementing, and maintaining the quality management system.
• Continual improvement activities to enhance the quality system (5S, Kaizen lean methods).
• Develop training to build data analysis and corrective action processes.
• Interface with Engineering and Operations to ensure transfer to Production of new products.
• Conduct audits and close out audit findings with corrective actions.
• Analyze failure, corrective, and preventive actions to respond to customer complaints.
• Create and maintain related data analysis procedures and corrective action.
• Plan, organize and manage receiving/outgoing quality functions.
• Improve QA receiving inspection processes and procedures.
• Resolve supplier quality issues via timely corrective actions and audits.
• Manage suppliers’ performance and present supplier scorecards.
