Delinea is seeking a senior backend data/DevOps engineer to strengthen its identity security platform from a data and analytics perspective. You will design, build, and maintain secure microservices and data pipelines across Azure and cloud-native ecosystems.

The role focuses on data modeling, analytics, and CI/CD, with hybrid work in Mexico City. You will collaborate with architects, product managers, and DevOps to deliver scalable data insights and secure deployments.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of backend development experience in Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS.
• Familiarity with microservices and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining relational and NoSQL databases (Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, query optimization, and transactional consistency in distributed environments.
• Experience with Terraform for Azure Cloud.
• Practical experience integrating AI/ML systems.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Deep understanding of cloud security, identity management, and privileged access control.

Responsabilidades

• Architect, design, and help develop, test and maintain secure microservices, data aggregations, data models, alerting, and analytics.
• Familiarity with data warehouse / analytics architecture patterns.
• Leverage document, relational, graph, and big data stores (Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
• Use technologies including Python, Go, C#, Terraform, queues, REST APIs.
• Orchestrate complex data flows near real-time and post-aggregation.
• Optimize data flow with SQL tuning and map/reduce strategies.
• Understand diagnostics, observability, logging, telemetry, and tuning tools.
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and security in microservice communication and storage.
• Implement IaC using Terraform for Azure resources.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure deployments with Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate to define system roadmaps with security/privacy compliance.
• Conduct code/design reviews.
• Provide technical mentorship and drive innovation in AI-assisted automation and data-driven decisions.

Summary:

This position is on the Business Analysis, KPI and alerting team, a key area on the Delinea platform. This team loves data and wants to consume it, model it, aggregate, and operate on it at all levels to provide powerful insights for our users. You’ll help build out and integrate across a complex microservice ecosystem to provide cohesive data analysis, alerting, and other business intelligence solutions for the entire Delinea platform.

This position plays a key role in strengthening Delinea’s identity and access management ecosystem through high-quality engineering practices and innovation. We want to learn, solve complex problems, and work together as a strong team. You will report to the team’s engineering manager.

The role is hybrid in Mexico City (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday) in our offices in Reforma.

What You’ll Do:

• Architect, design, and help develop, test and maintain secure microservices, data aggregations, data models, alerting, and analytics

• Familiarity with data warehouse / analytics architecture patterns

• Leverage the appropriate data store including document (Cosmos DB), relational (Azure SQL), graph (Janus, ArangoDB), big data (Azure Data Explorer), and more

• Use the appropriate technology including Python, Go, C#, Terraform, Queueing systems, REST API

• Orchestrate complex data flows both near time and post aggregation

• Optimize data flow processes from SQL tuning to better map/reduce strategies to queue processing to any part of the flow

• Able to understand diagnostics, observability, logging, telemetry, and other tuning tools to truly understand how the system is working and if it is healthy

• Ensure data integrity, availability, and security within microservice communication and storage layers.

• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for consistent provisioning and lifecycle management of Azure resources.

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for secure, automated deployments using Azure DevOps.

• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and DevOps teams to define system roadmaps, ensuring compliance with security and privacy requirements.

• Conduct code and design reviews, emphasizing performance, security, and maintainability.

• Provide technical mentorship to engineering peers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

• Drive innovation in AI-assisted automation, context‑aware security, and data‑driven decisioning across Delinea’s platforms.

What You’ll Need:

• Familiarity with microservices and container orchestration (Kubernetes)

• Deep understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and privileged access control.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

• Experience with database performance tuning, replication, and high-availability configurations.

• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, service meshes, and API gateways

• Knowledge of observability frameworks (Datadog, Grafana) for monitoring and diagnostics.

• Understanding of Zero Trust architectures and secure software lifecycle practices.

• Prior experience in AI‑enhanced security, automated policy enforcement or data compliance management.

• Proven success in Agile software development and continuous delivery environments.
