Main Purpose Of The Role
The Senior Project Manager manages large and complex client projects from start to finish, leveraging the standard PMO project management process. The Senior Project Manager works closely with the PMO Manager and Practice Leads to develop new standards, templates, and processes. In addition, this role supports the PMO Manager as a backup for team meetings and management tasks, as well as assisting with RFP responses and/or PMO presales activities.
Essential Functions
- Expert on PMO tools and processes and able to teach others as needed.
- Assist with development of RFP responses related to PMO/project management expertise and value.
- Strong understanding of multiple technology areas and how they integrate or align.
- Ability to manage multiple projects as part of a larger program, working with interdependencies, multiple technologies, and stakeholders.
- Impacts PMO team strategy regarding process improvement and project management capabilities.
- Strong understanding of the assigned practice focus area and other practice areas, with the ability to engage multiple practices for large or complex customer opportunities.
- Demonstrates managed services expertise, with proven experience delivering projects in service desk, network, security, and cloud environments.
- Provides leadership and mentoring to other project managers, fostering team success and knowledge sharing.
- Supports the PMO Manager as a backup when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies
- Ethical and critical thinking.
- Ability to adhere to and leverage best practices as defined by the PMO and recognized project management frameworks such as PMBoK.
- Strong understanding of project types and methodologies, knowing when to apply each.
- Managed Services Expertise: Demonstrated success managing and delivering managed services projects (service desk, network, security, cloud).
- IT Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of networks, storage, servers, and migrations; familiarity with service desk and security tools (EDR, Cisco Umbrella, CrowdStrike); and knowledge of Azure and cloud concepts (private/public).
- Project Management Experience: 10+ years of experience managing large-scale IT projects, including cross-functional teams and vendor coordination.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong stakeholder management, executive reporting, and team leadership skills.
- Financial Acumen: Experience with budgeting and cost control for managed services projects.
- Language Skills: Fluent English (mandatory for stakeholder communication); Spanish (nice to have).
- Mentors other team members with an emphasis on overall team success.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Education And Experience
- 10–15 years of related experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
- PMP certification (preferred).
- CSM certification (preferred).
- PgMP or equivalent (preferred).
- ITIL/ITSM certification (nice to have).
