Daimler Buses Mexico is seeking a Senior Product Development Design E/E Engineer to join our García Nuevo León team. You will design, adapt, and document vehicle systems and components per project requirements, and develop engineering solutions that meet quality, performance, safety, and cost objectives.

Responsibilities include analyzing production and field issues, supporting continuous product improvement, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electronic, Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in automotive.
  • Experience in Product Engineering, Product Development, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Product Validation.
  • Demonstrated experience with automotive electrical/electronic systems and wiring harnesses.
  • Knowledge of ECUs, SF/HW concepts and reading electrical diagrams.

Senior Product Development Design E/E Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Product Development Design E/E Engineer to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
Product Design
  • Design, adapt, and document vehicle systems and components according to project requirements.
  • Develop engineering solutions that meet quality, performance, safety, and cost objectives.
Product Support & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze and resolve issues identified during production and field operation.
  • Support continuous product improvement initiatives by working closely with cross-functional teams.
Compliance
  • Always act in accordance with applicable local and international regulations, including the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), the Daimler Truck Code of Conduct, and all company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.
  • Previous experience in Product Engineering, Product Development, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Product Validation.
Candidates have demonstrable experience in automotive electrical and electronic systems, including
  • Development, design, and integration of automotive wiring harnesses.
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical/electronic architectures.
  • Understanding of Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and their interaction within the vehicle.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Software Functions (SF), Hardware (HW), and electronic system parameterization.
  • Ability to interpret electrical diagrams, signals, and communication between electronic modules.
